Recipe of the Week: Crock Pot Pepper Steak

posted in: Food & Recipes 0

No one has time to spend hours in the kitchen cooking. This Crock Pot recipe tastes great, and takes only a few minutes of your time to throw together!

Ingredients:

1-1.5 lbs beef. I purchase round steak and either cube or slice it, depending on preference.

1/4-1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1 Green bell pepper, sliced

1 Red bell pepper, sliced

1 Onion, diced

1.5 cups Beef broth

4 tbsp Soy sauce, low sodium

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tsp brown sugar

salt, to taste

Directions:

1.) Place the beef, peppers, and onion into the crockpot. Add seasonings, brown sugar, soy sauce and beef broth. Stir to combine.

2.) Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 5 hours, high for 3 hours, or until the steak is cooked through and veggies are tender.

3.) Serve over a bed of white rice.

If you prefer thicker sauce, you can mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cold water. Stir this mixture into the crock pot an hour before it is ready. The sauce will thicken as it finishes cooking!

I use a Choose a Crock Programmable Slow Cooker. I love it because if you want to cut this recipe in half, you can easily adjust the size of the crock pot, so that you aren’t using a 6 qt crock pot for a very small meal. It is versatile and works great for every application I’ve used it for. I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a new crock pot!

This is one of the easiest recipe’s I’ve made, and it tasted great. Throw this on in the morning and come home to a delicious dinner!
